Job summary

BMW TechWorks India Private Limited is seeking a senior CAD design engineer to lead CATIA V5 driven development for BIW and closures. You will build structured, parametric CAD models, manage organized trees, and support ECN and release processes while coordinating interfaces in cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes strong modeling skills, hands-on CATIA capability, and proficiency in Teamcenter/PRISMA data management with occasional German language advantage.

Qualifications

• Proficient CAD design for BIW with structured/parametric modeling.
• CATIA V5 expertise including GSD, PDI, Drafting, and Digital Mockup.
• Experience building CAD models with organized trees and parametric approaches.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• German language a plus.
• Experience in ECN, release management and data publication in PRISMA.

Responsibilities

• Lead CAD design activities for BIW body in white and closures (hood, front end, tailgate, fender, bumpers).
• Create Solid and Surface models using CATIA V5 and maintain organized model trees.
• Develop CAD models with parametric structure and modular components.
• Participate in integration meetings and coordinate interfaces.
• Ensure data/docs alignment per BMW standards and PLM tools (Teamcenter/PRISMA).
• Support ECN and release management processes.

• Should have worked on Body in White and Closures parts (Hood, Front End, Tailgate & Fender & Bumpers) as a Lead Engineer.
• Should have the experience creating Solid Modelling and Surface modelling Catia V5.
• Should have an experience in building CAD models with organised tree structure including parametric modelling
• Should have very good communication and presentation skills
• German speaking is an added advantage.
• Should have hands on experience in ECN, Release management and Teamcenter.
