Job summary

Siemens Energy India Limited seeks a Component Engineer for Steam Turbine TI STG in India. You will translate thermal calculations into construction drawings and BOMs for turbine components, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality and site teams.

The requirements include 5–8 years’ hands-on experience with AutoCAD and NX for 3D modelling and 2D drawings, a BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Mechanical, and strong engineering judgment to resolve issues quickly.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech Mechanical or M.E./M.Tech Mechanical from reputed institute.
• 5–8 years’ hands-on experience and skill set in AutoCAD / NX for 3D modelling as well as 2D drawings.
• Basic knowledge of steam turbine.
• Team player and able to provide quick solution with engineering judgement.

Responsibilities

• Convert thermal calculations into construction drawings and BOMs for turbine outer casing, exhaust casing, turbine support, base frames, emergency and control valves to meet design requirements.
• Maintain the design process to complete engineering drawings and documents; review project drawings and interface points.
• Provide support to manufacturing, shop assembly, quality, and site teams for resolving critical technical issues by detailed analysis.
• Study and perform root cause analysis of technical issues.

Responsible for translating thermal design calculations into detailed engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for steam turbine components such as casings, supports, base frames, and valves. Works closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and site teams to review designs, ensure compliance with customer requirements, and resolve technical issues through analysis and root cause investigation.

How You'll Make an Impact (Component Engineer Steam Turbine, TI STG, India)

• Responsible to convert all thermal calculations into construction drawings and Bill of Materials for turbine outer casing, exhaust casing, turbine support, base frames, emergency and control valves In order to meet the design requirement in line with the customer / quality specifications.
• Work as a team member for maintaining the design process in order to complete engineering drawings,
• Documents and details for the steam turbine. Also, should be able to review complete projects drawings and interface points.
• Provide support to manufacturing, shop assembly, Quality, Site for resolving critical technical issue by detailed
• Study & root cause analysis.
