Job summary

JobItUs in India is seeking a mechanical design engineer to design and develop components and assemblies, and to create 2D drawings, 3D models, flat patterns and BOMs for manufacturing. You will coordinate with the production team to ensure manufacturability and drive process improvements.

The role requires proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks or AutoCAD), knowledge of sheet metal design, fabrication processes, and GD&T, with 2–5 years in component design, preferably in automotive components or

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in component design.
• Knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop components and assemblies drawings.
• Prepare 2D drawings, 3D models, flat patterns, and BOMs.
• Coordinate with production team for manufacturability and process improvements.
• Knowledge of machine shop, CNC turning, VMC, HMC, VTL and final machine assembly processes.
• Optimize designs for production efficiency and material utilization.
• Handle design modifications as per customer and production requirements.
• Support prototype development and troubleshooting during manufacturing.

Qualification:
