Job summary

Openhouse in Bengaluru seeks engaging teachers to conduct 1:1 language classes for children at students’ homes in Sarjapur and nearby areas. Classes are held 5 days a week, about 20 hours, with weekday afternoons and weekend sessions.

Candidates should be comfortable travelling locally and delivering activity-based learning. Teachers will use the Openhouse curriculum, track progress, provide feedback to parents, and participate in periodic trainings and meetings to maintain high teaching

• Facilitate activities such as conversations, storytelling, vocabulary building, role plays, speeches and presentations.
• Adapt sessions based on the child's age, confidence and learning needs.
• Track student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and the Openhouse team.
• Conduct trial classes for interested families when required.
• Attend periodic teacher training sessions and team meetings.
• Maintain punctuality and professionalism while visiting students' homes.

Job description

Openhouse is looking for engaging and enthusiastic teachers to conduct 1:1 communication & language classes for children in and around Sarjapur, Bangalore. The classes focus on developing children's spoken language, vocabulary, communication, confidence and self-expression through activity-based learning. Classes will be conducted at students' homes.

• Conduct engaging 1:1 classes at students' homes using the Openhouse curriculum.
• Facilitate activities such as conversations, storytelling, vocabulary building, role plays, speeches and presentations.
• Adapt sessions based on the child's age, confidence and learning needs.
• Track student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and the Openhouse team.
• Conduct trial classes for interested families when required.

• Maintain punctuality and professionalism while visiting students' homes.

Time Commitment

• Any 5 days a week, approximately 20 hours per week.
• Weekdays: 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
• Weekends: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.

• Location: Currently hiring for Sarjapur and nearby areas.
• Classes will be conducted at students' homes. Students will be assigned within nearby areas wherever possible to minimise travel.
• Candidates should be comfortable travelling locally.
