Job summary

Openhouse in Bengaluru is seeking a Deputy Centre Director to oversee all aspects of learning at the center. In this role, you will mentor teachers, implement curriculum for preschool and afterschool programs, and work closely with over 200 students to drive social and economic impact in the community. The ideal candidate has 3-4 years of experience in early childhood education, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities. This position requires working 3 weekdays and Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5 PM.

Qualifications

What is the role?

As a Deputy Centre Director at Openhouse, you will play a pivotal role in managing all learning outcomes at the centre entrusted to you. It’s a role that allows you to mentor teachers and directly impact over 200 students in your neighborhood and create social and economical impact.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working with our enthusiastic teachers by building an inclusive, growth oriented culture.
• Implementing our Curriculum in the centre for both preschool and afterschool programs.
• Managing day to day functioning of the centre.
• Reviewing lesson plans and providing feedback to teachers.
• Supporting our teachers inside the classroom in case they need help or short staffed.
• Maintaining open and effective communication with parents, sharing insights into their child's progress and milestones.

Who is the ideal candidate?

• Has at least 3-4 years of being a Preschool Teacher in a Premium Early Childhood Education school.
• Prior experience coaching or mentoring teachers.
• Experience reviewing lesson plans or ability to provide structured, logical feedback.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple operational responsibilities.
• Clear, structured communicator with a systematic approach to feedback.
• Demonstrates composure and sound decision-making under pressure.
• A course in Early Childhood Education or a B.Ed or NTT, MTT would also be great to have and is a bonus.
