Job summary

Agile Technology Solutions - Your Technology Partner in India seeks an experienced Commissioning Engineer to lead field activities for AFBC boilers, heaters, and combustion systems. You will plan, execute, and hand over projects at customer sites, coordinating with project teams and ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires hands-on commissioning, troubleshooting, SOP creation, and familiarity with PLC/DCS, instrumentation, pumps, and fans. Extensive travel is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience commissioning AFBC boilers, industrial heaters and burners.
• Plan and schedule site commissioning activities with cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during commissioning with structured problem-solving.
• Develop SOPs for operation, safety and system handover.
• Work with PLC/DCS, field instruments and automation controls.
• Commission and troubleshoot pumps, fans and rotating equipment.
• Coordinate with engineering for feedback and design improvements.
• Prepare commissioning reports and handover documentation.
• Strong boiler, heater and burner commissioning experience.
• Exposure to AFBC, Reciprocating/ Travelling Grate boilers.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, calibration and control systems.
• Familiar with SAP/ERP and project documentation tools is an advantage.

Are you an experienced commissioning professional with hands-on expertise in industrial boilers, heaters, and combustion systems? We're looking for a technically skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team and drive successful project commissioning and customer handover.

• Execute pre-commissioning, startup, operation, and commissioning of AFBC boilers, industrial heaters, and burners.
• Plan and schedule site commissioning activities in coordination with project and cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning using structured problem-solving approaches.
• Develop clear and practical SOPs for customer operation, safety, and system handover.
• Work with PLC/DCS systems, field instruments, and automation controls.
• Handle commissioning and troubleshooting of rotary equipment, including pumps and fans.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to provide technical feedback and recommend design improvements.
• Prepare commissioning reports, project feedback reports, and handover documentation.
• Strong experience in boiler, heater, and burner commissioning.
• Hands-on exposure to AFBC, Reciprocating Grate, and Travelling Grate boilers.
• Knowledge of PLC/DCS, instrumentation, calibration, and control systems.
• Experience with pumps, fans, and other rotating equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and site execution skills.
• Ability to prepare SOPs, commissioning documentation, and technical reports.
• Knowledge of safety standards, risk assessments, and HSE practices.
• Familiarity with SAP/ERP and project documentation tools is an advantage.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking candidates from the boiler OEM, industrial heating, thermal power, process heating, or boiler EPC industry who have genuine hands-on commissioning experience and are comfortable working at customer sites.

Extensive travel is an essential part of this role.
