Job summary

Technomech Placements is hiring a Commissioning Engineer - Boiler & Heater. Location includes Eco House, Pune & Customer Sites, Gujarat (West India).

BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation & Control required, with hands-on boiler and burner commissioning experience. You will execute pre-commissioning, startup and handover, plan site activities, troubleshoot issues, and prepare SOPs and reports for customer handover, working with PLC/DCS and rotating equipment.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation & Control with relevant commissioning experience.
• Hands-on commissioning of industrial boilers, heaters, and combustion systems.
• Experience with AFBC, Reciprocating Grate and Travelling Grate boilers.

Responsibilities

• Execute pre-commissioning, startup, operation and commissioning of AFBC boilers, industrial heaters and burners.
• Plan and schedule site commissioning activities with project and cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during commissioning using structured problem-solving approaches.
• Develop SOPs for customer operation, safety and system handover.
• Work with PLC/DCS systems and field instrumentation; handle commissioning of pumps and fans.
• Coordinate with engineering teams for feedback and design improvements.
• Prepare commissioning reports, project feedback, and handover documentation.

Are you an experienced commissioning professional with hands-on expertise in industrial boilers, heaters, and combustion systems? We're looking for a technically skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team and drive successful project commissioning and customer handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute pre-commissioning, startup, operation, and commissioning of AFBC boilers, industrial heaters, and burners.
• Plan and schedule site commissioning activities in coordination with project and cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning using structured problem-solving approaches.
• Develop clear and practical SOPs for customer operation, safety, and system handover.
• Work with PLC/DCS systems, field instruments, and automation controls.
• Handle commissioning and troubleshooting of rotary equipment, including pumps and fans.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to provide technical feedback and recommend design improvements.
• Prepare commissioning reports, project feedback reports, and handover documentation.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong experience in boiler, heater, and burner commissioning.
• Hands-on exposure to AFBC, Reciprocating Grate, and Travelling Grate boilers.
• Knowledge of PLC/DCS, instrumentation, calibration, and control systems.
• Experience with pumps, fans, and other rotating equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and site execution skills.
• Ability to prepare SOPs, commissioning documentation, and technical reports.
• Knowledge of safety standards, risk assessments, and HSE practices.
• Familiarity with SAP/ERP and project documentation tools is an advantage.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking candidates from the boiler OEM, industrial heating, thermal power, process heating, or boiler EPC industry who have genuine hands-on commissioning experience and are comfortable working at customer sites.
