Job summary

Accor in Kolkata region is seeking a kitchen professional to stock daily materials and operate kitchen equipment while maintaining safety and hygiene standards.

The candidate should hold a Diploma or Certificate in Culinary and have at least one year in a similar role. Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Culinary.
• 1 year of experience in the same role is an advantage.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Stock up the assigned kitchen with raw materials and ingredients daily.
• Be familiar with the use of all kitchen equipment and observe safety precautions.
• Be well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures.
• Apply HACCP food safety and hygiene standards.
• Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management.
• Promptly report hazards or unsafe conditions or faulty equipment to supervisor.

Job Description

• Stock up the assigned kitchen with raw materials and ingredients on a daily basis
• Be familiar with the use of all electrical and mechanical equipment in the kitchen and observe safety precautions when handling them
• Be well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures
• Apply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
• Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the assigned by the Management

• Clean and maintain all equipment within the food production area
