Job summary

The Highfield Company is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial delivery on a US$1 billion building project in India. You will head the commercial team, navigating complex contractual matters and guiding key decisions with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

You will bring strong main contractor experience, robust contractual knowledge, and a proven track record in managing large, technically complex packages to ensure commercial performance and successful project

Commercial Manager - India

Lead the commercial delivery of a US$1 Billion Building Project

Major projects demand strong commercial leadership. This is an opportunity to take a leading role on a complex building development in India valued at US$1 billion, with responsibility for protecting commercial performance and guiding key contractual decisions.

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager who understands the demands of large, technically complex building projects and brings the judgement, leadership and main contractor experience to manage them effectively.

The opportunity

You will play a central role in the project's delivery, leading the commercial team and working closely with senior project stakeholders. Your remit will include:

• Managing budgets, forecasting, cost reporting and commercial risk.
• Leading subcontract procurement and commercial negotiations.
• Overseeing contract administration, variations and claims.
• Developing the commercial team and driving accountability.
• Building effective relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

What we are looking for

A proven track record with main contractors on major building developments, supported by strong contractual knowledge and experience managing substantial work packages.

Experience on data centres, hospitals, semiconductor fabrication facilities or similarly complex buildings would be particularly relevant.

You will need the confidence to lead negotiations, resolve commercial challenges and turn detailed project information into clear, practical decisions.
