Vrinda International in Jaipur – Sitapura Office & Kolkata is seeking an experienced Color Stone Grader to evaluate and grade colored gemstones based on color, clarity, cut, carat weight, transparency, origin characteristics and overall quality. Location: Jaipur City Office, Jaipur – Sitapura Office & Kolkata. Experience: 4–9 Years.

Interview Mode: Face-to-Face Only. Work Mode: On-site. Candidates should have strong knowledge of colored gemstones, experience in grading and sorting, and attention

Qualifications

• Knowledge of colored gemstones and their characteristics.
• Experience in colored stone grading and sorting.
• Strong visual observation and color differentiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and grade colored gemstones according to established quality standards
• Evaluate color, hue, tone, saturation, clarity, cut, polish, symmetry and transparency
• Identify gemstones such as Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Amethyst, Topaz, Tourmaline, Garnet, Tanzanite and Aquamarine
• Detect visible inclusions, fractures, treatments and other quality characteristics
• Identify signs of heat treatment, filling, dyeing, irradiation, diffusion and other enhancements
• Assess gemstones under appropriate lighting and magnification
• Sort and categorize stones based on quality, size, color and commercial value
• Maintain accurate grading records and documentation
• Coordinate with Production, Quality Control, Purchase and Sales teams
• Ensure grading consistency and adherence to company quality standards
• Handle gemstones carefully and follow proper security procedures

Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Color Stone Grader to evaluate and grade colored gemstones based on color, clarity, cut, carat weight, transparency, origin characteristics and overall quality.

Location: Jaipur City Office, Jaipur – Sitapura Office & Kolkata

Experience: 4–9 Years

Budget: As per Industry Standards

Interview Mode: Face-to-Face Only

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and grade colored gemstones according to established quality standards
• Evaluate color, hue, tone, saturation, clarity, cut, polish, symmetry and transparency
• Identify gemstones such as Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Amethyst, Topaz, Tourmaline, Garnet, Tanzanite and Aquamarine
• Detect visible inclusions, fractures, treatments and other quality characteristics
• Identify signs of heat treatment, filling, dyeing, irradiation, diffusion and other enhancements
• Assess gemstones under appropriate lighting and magnification
• Sort and categorize stones based on quality, size, color and commercial value

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of colored gemstones and their characteristics

Experience in colored stone grading / gemstone sorting

Good visual observation and color differentiation skills

Knowledge of gemstone treatments, imitations and synthetics

Familiarity with loupe, microscope, refractometer, polariscope and dichroscope

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to perform repetitive grading and sorting tasks

Good communication and documentation skills
