Job summary

Paytm Services Private Limited is seeking a Collection Manager for Business Lending Collections to lead operations across the assigned territory in India. You will manage collection executives, drive recovery performance, and ensure strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal policies.

Ideal candidates possess 4+ years in collections, strong leadership, and proficient use of MS Excel and MIS reporting.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in collections and recovery management.
• Prior experience in team handling, preferably in banking, NBFC, fintech, or financial services, will be preferred.
• Candidates with experience managing field collection teams and collection agencies will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Drive and achieve collection targets for the assigned territory and portfolio.
• Lead, manage, and motivate a team of collection executives and field officers to achieve business targets.
• Monitor team productivity, performance, attendance, and daily collection activities.
• Develop and implement effective collection strategies to improve recovery rates and control delinquency.
• Review daily and monthly collection MIS and take corrective actions to improve team performance.
• Monitor collection agencies and ensure adherence to defined processes and performance benchmarks.
• Manage escalations related to overdue accounts, customer concerns, and field collection activities.
• Identify operational gaps, fraudulent practices, and risks within the collection process and take appropriate corrective action.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor collection activities and team performance.
• Work closely with business, credit, risk, operations, and other stakeholders to resolve collection-related issues.
• Drive capability building, coaching, and continuous improvement within the collection team.
