Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Collection Manager to manage collections for the Unsecured Personal Loan portfolio. The candidate will be responsible for achieving collection and recovery targets, managing field collection teams, monitoring daily performance, and ensuring effective follow-up with customers.
The role requires strong team-handling, field-collection, office-management, MIS, and customer-handling skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day field collection activities for unsecured personal loan accounts.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of Collection Executives / Field Officers.
- Allocate delinquent accounts and territories to team members and ensure proper follow-up.
- Achieve monthly collection, recovery, and roll-back targets.
- Monitor team performance through daily collection reports, productivity, bounce, PTP, and recovery MIS.
- Ensure regular field visits and effective customer contact for overdue accounts.
- Track PTP (Promise to Pay) and ensure commitments are followed up within the agreed timelines.
- Handle high-value, difficult, and escalated delinquent customer cases.
- Conduct regular team meetings and provide coaching to improve collection productivity.
- Monitor attendance, field movement, productivity, and daily activity of the collection team.
- Coordinate with the office, operations, credit, customer service, and other internal teams for collection-related issues.
- Prepare and review daily/weekly/monthly collection MIS and performance reports.
- Ensure proper documentation and updating of collection activities in the system.
- Maintain discipline and professional conduct within the team.
- Ensure collections are conducted in accordance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and approved collection practices.
- Identify areas of poor performance and implement corrective action plans.
- Support recruitment, training, onboarding, and performance management of collection executives.
- Manage office-level collection operations and ensure smooth coordination between field and office teams.
- Provide regular updates to senior management regarding target achievement, field performance, and critical accounts.
Required Skills

- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet monthly targets.
- Strong knowledge of local geography and field collection practices is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel locally for field visits and team monitoring.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline preferred.
- Candidates with relevant experience in banking, NBFC, fintech, or financial-services collections will be preferred.
Experience
3-6 years of relevant experience in:
- Unsecured Personal Loan collections
- Field collections / recovery
- Team handling and supervision
- Collection MIS and reporting
- Office/branch collection operations
Candidates currently working as Senior Collection Executive, Team Leader, Collection Supervisor, Assistant Collection Manager, or Collection Manager may be considered based on experience and performance.
