Job summary

LANXESS is seeking a senior professional to manage Cogen and Utilities operations in Nagda, MP. The role ensures uninterrupted steam and power supply to the Process plant and maintains strict safety and regulatory compliance for boiler, Cogen, and wastewater treatment assets.

The ideal candidate has a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 12+ years in core power plant and utility areas, including biomass-based cogeneration and ZLD wastewater treatment. BOE is preferred.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 12 years of experience in core power plant and Utility area, including biomass-based Cogen plant (High-pressure boiler) and Wastewater treatment with ZLD.
• BOE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall Cogen and Utilities operations to ensure uninterrupted utility supply to production plants.
• Ensure safety interlocks of Cogen, 25 tph boiler, and wastewater treatment area; ensure compliance with emission and ZLD standards.
• Provide uninterrupted steam and power supply to the Process plant; coordinate with Grasim for steam, water, and electricity.
• Renew boiler licenses and ensure regulatory compliance under Indian Boiler Regulation Act (Madhya Pradesh).
• Ensure Lexcore Directives compliance; close audit observations and implement HAZOP recommendations; update related documents.
• Oversee biomass management, procurement of mustard, soya, rice husk, and pellets; handle biomass stacking and shifting.
• Review and ensure effectiveness of O&M contracts for Utilities Cogen, 25 tph boiler, and wastewater treatment.

Job Highlights

• To manage overall Cogen and Utilities operations and ensure the uninterrupted supply of utilities to the production plants. Planning, including coordinating in production for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, manpower management, supplies management and uptime of equipment.


• To ensure all safety interlocks of Cogen, 25 tph boiler, and Wastewater treatment area are intact & no system is bypassed. To run the entire Cogen & waste water management with 100% statutory compliance related to emission levels & ZLD requirements.


• To ensure an uninterrupted supply of steam & power to the Process plant. Close co-ordination with Grasim for the supply of steam, water and electricity.


• To ensure the timely renewal of the boiler's license to run & operate of boiler should meet all legal requirements as per compliance of the Indian Boiler Regulation Act in Madhya Pradesh.


• To ensure the compliance of Lexcore Directives by having a proactive approach for timely execution and closing of all audit observations & non-conformity. Preparing the action road map for timely closure of HAZOP recommendations. Updation of documents, statutory/legal requirements related to Cogen, wastewater treatment covering PTRO & Evaporator plant.


• To ensure timely execution of each activity round the year related to biomass management. To have close coordination with the biomass quality team for timely procurement of mustard, soya, rice husk, and pellets at the site. To ensure timely biomass stacking, covering & shifting from Uamrna to Nagda.


• To have periodic reviews in place to ensure the effectiveness of all O&M contracts in Utilities Cogen, 25 tph boiler& entire wastewater treatment contract. Parallel to this ensure the effectiveness of service-related tasks.


• To ensure the compliance of Lexcore Directives by having a proactive approach for timely execution and closing of all audit observations & non-conformity. Preparing the action road map for timely closure of HAZOP recommendations. Updation of documents, statutory/legal requirements related to Cogen & 25 TPH boiler and utility, wastewater treatment covering PTRO & Evaporator plant.

Experience / Skills

• Specific Education BE/B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 12 years of experience in core power plant and Utility area, covering key exposure to biomass-based Cogen plant (High-pressure boiler) & Wastewater treatment with Zero liquid discharge concept.


• BOE preferred.
