Job Description: Codebeamer Specialist

Location-Mumbai

We are looking for an experienced Codebeamer Specialist with strong expertise in ALM configuration, workflow customization, test management, reporting, branching strategy, and data migration from PTC Integrity (Windchill RV&S). The ideal candidate will support engineering and verification teams by optimizing Codebeamer usage, restructuring test formats, and enabling robust automation integrations.

Role & Responsibilities

Lead or support the migration of requirements, test cases, defects, workflows, metadata, and historical records from PTC Integrity to Codebeamer.

Analyze current test structures used by verification teams and recommend effective restructuring solutions.

Develop and maintain migration scripts, utilities, and validation reports to support end‑to‑end migration activities.

Configure and customize trackers, fields, workflows, branching models, roles, permissions, and templates within Codebeamer.

Create and maintain customization triggers, including: Scripted fields, Business rules., Automation triggers, Conditional logic and REST API‑based extensions

Develop, structure, and manage test plans, test sets, test cases, and execution workflows.

Ensure complete traceability across requirements, risks, design inputs, and test results.

Enable proper versioning, baselining, variant management, and branching for test artifacts.

Build customized reports, dashboards, KPIs, and compliance documentation for leadership and quality teams.

Collaborate with automation frameworks (Python, Jenkins, Robot Framework, Bash/PowerShell, etc.) to:

collect logs, diagnostics, and automated test results from Windows, Linux, macOS, and embedded OS

structure and upload automated test outcomes into Codebeamer

maintain integration using Codebeamer’s REST API

support CI/CD‑triggered updates and automated item creation

Provide design recommendations to restructure test formats based on Codebeamer’s best‑practice data model.

Troubleshoot functional issues and coordinate with internal IT or Codebeamer support as necessary.

Required Qualifications

1–3+ years of hands‑on experience with Codebeamer ALM configuration and administration.

Strong experience developing customization triggers, including scripting, business rules, and automation logic.

Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Groovy, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.

Experience working with automation frameworks and extracting data from multiple operating systems.

Solid understanding of test management, workflows, branching, and ALM best practices.

Proven experience with PTC Integrity to Codebeamer migration projects.

Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to design effective technical solutions.
