Job summary

Alten India in Chennai seeks an automotive validation engineer to lead validation across cockpit, infotainment and instrument cluster domains. You will perform hands-on testing at vehicle and bench levels, validate CAN signals, diagnose ECUs, and ensure robust integration of infotainment with clusters.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of automotive validation experience.
• Experience in Cockpit, Infotainment, Instrument Cluster, and Connected Vehicle Systems.
• Hands-on Cockpit validation at vehicle and bench levels.
• Infotainment validation including Radio, Media, Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Navigation, Wi-Fi, OTA.
• Cluster validation covering Gauges, Telltales, Warning Lamps, DIC, Trip Functions, ADAS Alerts, Startup/Shutdown Behavior.
• CAN signal validation, HMI testing, Cluster diagnostics, Infotainment-Cluster integration.
• ECU diagnostics, flashing, coding, configuration, DTC analysis, troubleshooting.
• CANoe, CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, CANStress, automotive diagnostic tools.
• CAN, CAN FD, LIN, UDS, Automotive Ethernet, FlexRay knowledge.
• Log analysis, debugging, root cause analysis, defect management.
• Exposure to test automation and scripting (Python/CAPL preferred).

Preferred candidate profile

Experience:

• 5-7 years of automotive validation experience.
• Strong experience in Cockpit, Infotainment, Instrument Cluster, and Connected Vehicle Systems.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience in Cockpit validation at vehicle and bench levels.
• Infotainment validation: Radio, Media, Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Navigation, Wi-Fi, OTA, Connected Apps.
• Cluster validation: Gauges, Telltales, Warning Lamps, DIC, Trip Functions, ADAS Alerts, Startup/Shutdown Behavior.
• Experience in CAN signal validation, HMI testing, Cluster diagnostics, and Infotainment-Cluster integration.
• ECU diagnostics, flashing, coding, configuration, DTC analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy, CANStress, and automotive diagnostic tools.
