Experience:
12–18 years in software validation and testing
5+ years in automotive cockpit / IVI / cluster / infotainment test leadership roles
Role Overview
The Test Manager is responsible for end‑to‑end validation of Automotive Digital Cockpit systems, including Infotainment, Instrument Cluster, HUD, Multi‑Display Systems, Connectivity, and Vehicle Integration.
This role owns the validation strategy, quality assurance, and test execution across software, system, and vehicle levels, while leading and scaling test teams in a multi‑supplier automotive ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the Software Validation Strategy for Automotive Digital Cockpit platforms.
- Establish test plans, validation roadmaps, and quality gates aligned with OEM milestones.
- Manage and mentor multi‑disciplinary test teams (Manual, Automation, System, Performance, Compliance).
- Functional & integration testing
- Regression testing
- Usability & HMI behavior validation
- Coordinate validation activities across multiple operating systems hosted on hypervisors.
- Collaborate closely with Architecture, Development, System Engineering, DevOps, and Program teams.
- Own defect lifecycle management, RCA, and quality metrics reporting.
- Interface with OEMs, Tier‑1 suppliers, and third‑party software vendors.
- Ensure compliance with ASPICE, Functional Safety, and Automotive Quality Standards.
Core Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of Automotive Digital Cockpit architectures.
- Experience with hypervisor‑based, multi‑OS platforms:
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols:
- CAN, Automotive Ethernet SOME/IP, DDS, A2B, IPC
- Experience validating connectivity and projection features:
- Experience with automation frameworks and tools
- Expertise with ALM/SCM tools:
- Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, JIRA, ALM, Test Management tools
- Strong experience with log analysis, debugging, and tracing tools.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Continuous Testing.
Leadership & Management Skills
- Proven experience building, leading, and mentoring high‑performing test teams.
- Strong planning, estimation, and resource management skills.
- Experience working in multi‑site, global delivery models.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with OEMs, Tier‑1s, and suppliers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
- Ability to work in fast‑paced, dynamic automotive programs.
