Job summary

Invesco MF in Mumbai seeks an equity trading professional to support the Equities desk. You will execute trades for Equity Cash, Futures and Forex, coordinate with brokers and liaise with Fund Management, compliance and Operations.

The role focuses on data-driven decision making, market intelligence, and continuous process improvement. Strong communication and integrity are essential to manage trades and support the arbitrage fund's objectives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years investment experience or relevant business experience.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work autonomously and under pressure.

Position Purpose:

• Dealingfor Equities Team
• Assistingin managing the arbitrage fund

Principal Accountabilities:

• Executetrades for Equity Cash, Futures and Forex
• Brokerbusiness allocation and communication.
• Liaisonwith Fund Management team, compliance and Operation for dealing function
• Providingsupport to marketing team for data queries.
• Handlingtrades for cash-futures arbitrage and rolls

Cash Desk:

• Excelbased work like daily portfolio file updation, cash flows, weekly and monthlyfiles and other periodic data, etc
• Developingrelationship with brokers and sourcing blocks
• Marketintelligence on likely quantum of buying and selling in various stocks
• Screenbased execution such as to get the orders filled at minimum impact cost
• Algobased orientation – Meeting brokers to understand the various execution algospresent in the market and which one to use in which circumstance
• Tradingand investment idea generation.
• Findingopportunities in SLB segment.
• Executionof trades for Feeder funds and Gold Fund.

F&O Desk:

• Excelbased work like preparing churn mandates for portfolio holdings, mailingmandates to brokers, roll file preparation and mailing, peer portfoliocomparison, analysis of Open Interest build up in various stks and reason forthe same, etc
• Sourcingarbitrage and roll blocks
• Developingviews on the likely movement in arbitrage and roll spreads of various stocksalong with plausible reasoning
• Focuson improvement in processes – basically razor sharp focus on doing everythingfrom processes to decision making better than peers
• Unrelentingfocus on innovation and automation
• Developingunderstanding of debt markets and help in debt investment processes
