Job summary

Agumentik Group of Companies in Bengaluru is seeking a Quality Engineer with hands-on experience in CNC Turning, VMC machining, and automotive/precision component manufacturing. You will ensure dimensional and process quality through shop-floor inspection and process control.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience, a Diploma/BE/BTech in Mechanical/Production/Automobile Engineering, and proficiency in reading drawings, GD&T, and tolerances.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE/BTech in Mechanical/Production/Automobile Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in CNC turning and VMC machining.
• Experience in automotive components and precision machined parts.
• Knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, tolerances and precision measurement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspection of CNC/VMC machined components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.
• Inspect dimensions such as OD/ID, length, holes, threads, runout, concentricity, flatness, and surface finish.
• Monitor machining quality, tool wear, dimensional variation, burrs, and process deviations.
• Identify and control rejection, rework, and non-conforming components.
• Conduct 5 Why, Fishbone, 8D and CAPA for quality issues.
• Maintain inspection reports, rejection records, calibration records, and other quality documentation.
• Coordinate closely with CNC/VMC operators, setters, and production teams to resolve quality issues.
• Support PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, and IATF 16949 requirements.

• Experience in automotive components / auto ancillary / precision machined parts is preferred.
• Hands‑on shop‑floor quality inspection experience is essential.
