Job summary

Genius Consultants in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced CNC Milling Operator to operate and monitor CNC milling machines, read engineering drawings, and set up tools.

The ideal candidate has an ITI or diploma and strong knowledge of measuring instruments. The role requires shift work and a commitment to quality and safety in a busy machine shop.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical or a relevant technical field.
• 15 years of experience in CNC operations.
• Knowledge of CNC milling or turning operations.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments and quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CNC milling and turning machines per production requirements.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, work instructions, and machine drawings.
• Set up CNC milling machines, including tool setting and job loading.
• Perform tool changes, offsets and basic machine parameter adjustments.
• Inspect finished components using calipers, micrometers, gauges.
• Ensure components meet specified dimensions and quality standards.
• Identify and report machine or production issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow safety procedures.
• Achieve daily production targets while maintaining quality.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and proper handling of tools and equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CNC milling and turning machines as per production requirements.


• Read and understand engineering drawings, work instructions, and machine drawings.


• Set up CNC milling machines, including tool setting and job loading.


• Perform tool changes, offsets, and basic machine parameter adjustments.


• Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.


• Ensure components are manufactured according to specified dimensions and quality standards.

• Achieve daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.


• Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure proper handling of tools and equipment.
