Job summary

Talent Hr Networks is seeking a Senior CNC Machinist in Pune, India, to independently set up and operate CNC and manual machines, read and verify CNC programs, and ensure high-precision production with strict safety and quality adherence.

The role requires 5+ years of CNC machining experience, a relevant Diploma/ITE, and the ability to train junior machinists while coordinating shopfloor activities. Proficiency with Mazak and Mori Seiki is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITE in Mechanical, Precision Engineering, Tool & Die or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on CNC machining and metal removal experience.
• Must meet internal qualification standards for Machinist CNC 1 and CNC 2.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong safety practices and follow HSE procedures.
• Ensure product quality by adhering to standards, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
• Independently set up and operate CNC and manual machines (Mazak, Mori Seiki, etc.).
• Read, interpret, and verify CNC programs; perform tool path calculations, offsets, and cutting angles.
• Handle complex parts and materials including carbon steel and chrome.
• Select appropriate tools, inserts, and fixtures for safe and effective utilization.
• Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) and maintain documentation.
• Apply precision measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, dial indicators).
• Achieve daily and weekly production targets while maintaining 5S discipline.
• Train and mentor new machinists, share best practices, and support team coordination.
• Escalate unsafe conditions or quality risks immediately.
