Job summary

Artistic Indians in India is seeking an experienced CNC operator to run the SHUSA SM-2530-S-II for marble and stone processing. You will load programs, set up jobs, monitor tooling, and ensure accuracy and quality on every piece.

Responsibilities include maintaining logs, minimizing waste, and coordinating with production to hit daily targets. Prior CNC exposure, especially with stone-processing machines, is preferred.

Qualifications

• ITI, Diploma, or relevant CNC machining experience.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on CNC machine operation experience.
• Experience with CNC stone-processing machines preferred.
• Basic understanding of CNC programs, machine coordinates, and tooling.
• Ability to read technical drawings and measure finished parts.
• Knowledge of tool setting, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and meet production targets.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. CNC Machine Operation

• Operate the SHUSA SM-2530-S-II CNC machine safely and efficiently.
• Perform machine setup, referencing, axis zero setting, and job positioning.
• Load and execute CNC programs according to production requirements.
• Monitor machine movement, tool condition, cutting parameters, and machining accuracy.
• Perform routine checks before and after machine operation.

2. Marble & Stone Processing

• Handle marble, granite, and other natural stone materials.
• Carry out cutting, engraving, carving, profiling, and 3D machining, where supported by the machine.
• Ensure proper clamping and positioning of stone slabs and workpieces.
• Minimize stone breakage, chipping, and material wastage.
• Maintain accuracy in designs, dimensions, and finishing quality.

3. CNC Programming & Software

• Read and understand CNC programs and machining instructions.
• Load programs through the machine's supported interface.
• Understand G-code and M-code used by the controller.
• Make minor program corrections, tool offsets, and machining adjustments within authorized limits.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, ArtCAM, or relevant CAD/CAM software is preferred.

4. Tool Setting & Maintenance

• Select and install appropriate cutting, engraving, and diamond tools.
• Set tool heights, offsets, and machining parameters.
• Monitor tool wear and arrange timely replacement.
• Check lubrication, coolant/water supply, and machine cleanliness as applicable.
• Report electrical, mechanical, or controller problems to maintenance personnel.

5. Quality & Production

• Check finished dimensions, profile accuracy, and surface quality.
• Complete production jobs according to drawings and specifications.
• Maintain daily production records and machine operating logs.
• Reduce machine downtime, tool damage, rework, and scrap.
• Coordinate with the production supervisor to achieve daily targets.

6. Safety & Discipline

• Follow standard operating procedures and CNC machine safety instructions.
• Use appropriate PPE, including safety shoes, eye protection, and hearing protection.
• Follow stone dust and silica exposure-control procedures.
• Never bypass machine guards, interlocks, or safety systems.
• Maintain proper housekeeping around the CNC working area.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• ITI, Diploma, or relevant CNC machining experience.

• Able to identify machining problems and take corrective action.
