Job summary

FIS Bangalore is seeking a Cloud Engineer (AWS) with 4 to 7 years of experience to design and deliver scalable cloud-based solutions. You will guide customers through transforming their business using end-to-end applications and infrastructure, while contributing to DevOps practices and leading smaller initiatives.

The role requires hands-on experience with Terraform/CloudFormation, Kubernetes, CI/CD tooling, and monitoring frameworks, with a focus on secure, reliable systems in a financial tech

Qualifications

• Min. Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience as an AWS Engineer.
• Experience automating cloud native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other tools.
• Working knowledge in cloud native CI/CD workflows and tools, such as Jenkins, Code Deploy (AWS) and/or GitLab.
• Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.
• Experience with Terraform in production environments.
• Knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing and firewall.
• Experience with monitoring and log aggregating frameworks such as Kafka, Logstash, Splunk, Elastic Search, and Kibana.
• Experience with the full software development, lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices.

What you will be doing

You will apply your deep technical expertise to solve cloud-based solutions at scale. You will guide customers through transforming their business with the combination of cultural philosophies, practices, and tools that deliver end-to-end applications and infrastructure solutions.

The DevOps Engineer is an emerging leader with previous experience in a lead DevOps role. The DevOps Engineer will assist on larger projects or run smaller opportunities independently. A successful candidate has technical depth and hands-on implementation experience of various practices and tools in the DevOps toolchain. The DevOps Engineer is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to design and code modules for infrastructure, application, and processes.

• Installs, maintains and upgrades internal computer hardware and software systems used for designing and developing company products.
• Controls user access and passwords.
• Proposes and implements system enhancements that will improve reliability and performance of system.
• Monitors usage and performance.
• Trains personnel on system usage.
• Troubleshoots server, software and hardware issues.
• Assists with recommending, scheduling and implementing system hardware and/or software upgrades or repairs.
• Researches, evaluates and recommends software and hardware products.
• Supports Web access and electronic messaging services and maintains a secure systems environment.

What you bring :

• Min. Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent work experience..
• 05+ years of professional experience.
• 03+ years of experience as an AWS Engineer.
• Experience with automating cloud native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other tools.
• Working knowledge in cloud native CI/CD workflows and tools, such as Jenkins, Code Deploy (AWS) and/or GitLab.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• AWS Certification(s) such as Solutions Architect Pro, DevOps Engineer Pro, SysOps Admin, Developer Associate.
• Strong presentation, verbal communication and written communications skills.
• Ability to effectively work across organizations and engagements, preferably from a professional services organization or similar.
