Job summary

FIS in Bengaluru seeks a Cloud Engineer (AWS) with 4–7 years of experience to design and deliver cloud-based solutions at scale, focusing on end-to-end infrastructure and applications. You will guide customers with DevOps practices and lead small projects as needed.

The role emphasizes hands-on implementation of infrastructure as code, CI/CD workflows, and modern cloud-native architectures including containers, Kubernetes, and serverless technologies.

Qualifications

• Min. Bachelors degree or relevant equivalent work experience.
• 05+ years of professional experience.
• 03+ years of experience as an AWS Engineer.
• Experience with automating cloud native technologies, deploying applications, and provisioning infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other tools.
• Working knowledge in cloud native CI/CD workflows and tools, such as Jenkins, Code Deploy (AWS) and/or GitLab.
• Hands‑on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology.
• Experience with Terraform in production environments.
• Knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing and firewall.
• Experience with monitoring and log aggregating frameworks such as Kafka, Logstash, Splunk, Elastic Search, and Kibana.
• Experience with the full software development, lifecycle and delivery using Agile practices.

Responsibilities

• The DevOps Engineer is an emerging leader with previous experience in a lead DevOps role. The DevOps Engineer will assist on larger projects or run smaller opportunities independently. A successful candidate has technical depth and hands‑on implementation experience of various practices and tools in the DevOps toolchain. The DevOps Engineer is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to design and code modules for infrastructure, application, and processes.
• Installs, maintains and upgrades internal computer hardware and software systems used for designing and developing company products.
• Controls user access and passwords.
• Proposes and implements system enhancements that will improve reliability and performance of system.
• Monitors usage and performance.
• Trains personnel on system usage.
• Troubleshoots server, software and hardware issues.
• Assists with recommending, scheduling and implementing system hardware and/or software upgrades or repairs.
• Researches, evaluates and recommends software and hardware products.
• Supports Web access and electronic messaging services and maintains a secure systems environment.
