Job summary

Tech Mahindra in Pune seeks a Cloud Database Engineer to join the infrastructure team. You will manage and maintain critical database services running on AWS, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across the database landscape.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AWS RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache, Terraform for provisioning, and relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL. Strong networking, IAM understanding, and a structured approach to troubleshooting are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS cloud services, particularly managed database offerings (RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache).
• Working knowledge of Terraform (or similar IaC tools) for infrastructure provisioning.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL and/or MySQL).
• Basic understanding of networking, security groups, and IAM in AWS.
• Analytical mindset and structured approach to troubleshooting.

We are looking for a motivated Cloud Database Engineer to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining critical database services running on AWS. You will work closely with the team to ensure high availability, performance, and security of our database landscape.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience with AWS cloud services, particularly managed database offerings (RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache)
• Working knowledge of Terraform (or similar IaC tools) for infrastructure provisioning
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL and/or MySQL)
• Basic understanding of networking, security groups, and IAM in AWS
• Analytical mindset and structured approach to troubleshooting

Good to Have:

• Experience with Redis or other in-memory data stores
• Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
• Experience with database monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Performance Insights, Dynatrace)
• Knowledge of backup/recovery strategies and disaster recovery concepts
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
