  • Experience with slicing and print‑preparation software for SLS, FDM, and multi‑material printers.
  • Strong IT skills: cloud‑based file management (e.g., Google Drive/SharePoint), version control, and comfort with digital workflows and basic scripting (Python/automation) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with materials used in orthotics (Nylon 12, TPU, PLA, medical‑grade resins) and post‑processing techniques.
  • Attention to detail, good documentation practices, and ability to work cross‑functionally with clinical and operations teams.
  • Willingness to attend clinic visits for fittings and doctor meetings as required.
Responsibilities
  • Capture patient anatomy using 3D scanning (structured light/photogrammetry/handheld scanners) during clinic visits and translate scans into usable digital models.
  • Create and modify parametric and patient‑specific orthotic CAD models (AFOs, foot orthoses, splints) using industry‑standard software.
  • Prepare parts for additive manufacturing: orientation, support generation, slicing, nesting and file prep for SLS/FDM processes.
  • Manage print production workflows (file management, printer queueing, material selection, QA checks) and coordinate post‑processing.
  • Validate fit and function by collaborating with physiotherapists/clinicians during fittings; iterate designs based on feedback.
