Qualification

• Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology (preferred specialisations: Electrical Engineering, Battery Engineering, Energy Engineering, or Energy Management)

Experience

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in the energy storage sector, with exposure to manufacturing, policy development, localisation initiatives, or project implementation

Key Responsibilities

• BESS & EV Battery Manufacturing Strategy: Develop strategic insights and long-term roadmaps for battery manufacturing across the ecosystem, including BESS, cells, battery packs, BMS, EMS, PCS, power electronics, and related components.
• Circular Economy & Recycling Systems: Assess technologies and infrastructure for battery recycling and second-life applications. Support regulatory alignment, EPR frameworks, and industry–policy collaboration for sustainable battery lifecycle management.
• Raw Material & Supply Chain Security: Analyse demand for critical minerals and design strategies for sourcing, processing, recycling, and mitigating supply chain risks.
• Industrial Policy & Investment Support: Contribute to policy development including fiscal incentives, concessional financing mechanisms, and infrastructure support to enable large-scale battery manufacturing growth.
• Technical & Project Advisory: Support feasibility studies, system design, and due diligence for BESS projects, including inputs on safety standards, grid integration, and EV applications.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with manufacturers, utilities, recyclers, financial institutions, and government bodies to support ecosystem development and strategic alignment.
