Job summary

9AP Energy Ambit Transmission Products Pvt. Ltd. in India is seeking a BESS Application Engineer with extensive experience in lithium-ion batteries and energy-storage systems to develop tailored BESS solutions and support project execution.

You will perform battery sizing, load analysis, system configuration, and integration of BESS components such as BMS, EMS, PCS, inverters, and related hardware, while coordinating with Sales, Product Development, Engineering and Projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Power Electronics, Energy Systems, or related engineering field.
• 37 years of relevant experience in BESS, lithium-ion batteries, energy storage, solar, power electronics, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of BMS, EMS, PCS, inverters, battery systems, and BESS architecture.
• Experience in technical solution design and project/customer requirements.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings, site visits, commissioning, and project execution when required.

Responsibilities

• Develop BESS solutions based on customer and project requirements.
• Perform battery sizing, load analysis, energy calculations, and system configuration.
• Integrate lithium-ion batteries, BMS, EMS, PCS, and inverters.
• Prepare technical proposals, system specifications, BOMs, datasheets, and documentation.
• Analyse customer requirements and recommend suitable BESS solutions.
• Support BESS project execution, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Provide technical support to the sales team during customer meetings and pre-sales activities.
• Coordinate with engineering, product, sales, and project teams for successful project execution.
• Support new product development and optimisation based on market and customer requirements.
• Analyse BESS performance and identify opportunities for system improvement.
• Stay updated with developments in battery technology, renewable energy, BESS, and energy-management systems.
