Job summary

Bajaj Auto invites an experienced design modelling professional to lead a dedicated clay and model building team for two/three-wheeler projects. You will oversee the creation of fully finished models and present them to management.

Applicants should have 5-7 years of managerial experience in automotive clay studios, preferably with two-wheeler modelling, and strong aesthetic sense. Hands-on material skills and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-7 yrs of experience as a manager modelling and clay studio in automotive OEM
• Experience in two wheeler modelling can be an added advantage
• Proven ability to lead and mentor modelers
• Strong sense of vehicle design and aesthetics
• Knowledge of clay milling and white light scanning equipment

Responsibilities

• Leading a vehicle model building activity for a two wheeler / 3 wheeler project with a small team.
• Responsible for delivery of a fully finished model for management presentations.
• Effectively communicate with cross functional teams (Engineering /Testing/Protoshop) and troubleshoot model issues.
• Basic knowledge of Teamcenter and Unigraphics is preferred.

Work Experience

5-7 yrs of experience as a manager modelling and clay studio in automotive OEM. ( Experience in two wheeler modelling and clay model building can be an added advantage)

Skills

• Hands on experience of automotive / two wheeler modelling in various materials such as automotive clay, UREOL, Styrofoam, FRP, RPT etc.
• Complete model building from start (building of armature) to final finished / painted model based on a planned/agreed timeline.
• Experience of managing and mentoring junior modelers in clay and other model making processes.
• Excellent sense of Design & Aesthetics of a vehicle.
• Knowledge about Clay milling and White light scanning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Leading a vehicle model building activity for a two wheeler / 3 wheeler project with a small team.
• Responsible for delivery of a fully finished model for management presentations.
