Job summary

bajajauto is seeking an Asst Manager/Manager for the two-wheeler exterior/plastics/trim design. You will own the complete design lifecycle, including CAD modeling, FE analysis, and coordination with suppliers to meet quality and regulatory standards.

The role requires a strong background in UG-NX/CATIA, Teamcenter/PLM systems, and hands-on FEA (ANSYS/HyperMesh/Nastran). You will work on fender, fairing, seats and other trim components with a focus on manufacturability and compliance.

Qualifications

• B.E / B.Tech Mechanical Engg from reputed University / Institute
• Consistent & secured good percentage throughout academics (SSC, HSC, Diploma, Graduation etc)
• Experience 5-10 years
• Age 27-32 years

Responsibilities

• Entire design lifecycle of two wheeler exterior/plastics/Trims.
• Sound knowledge of Body Parts/Exterior/Panels and trim design.
• CAD modelling experience with UG-NX/CATIA and PLM tools; Teamcenter or equivalent.
• FEA experience using ANSYS/HYPERMESH or equivalent.
• Coordinate testing, benchmarking, and supplier interactions.
• Apply GD&T, DFMEA, DFM and other relevant guidelines.

Job Role & Responsibilities

Role:

Entire design lifecycle of two wheeler exterior/plastics/Trims which includes the following stages

• Sound knowledge of Body Parts/Exterior/Panels and trim design.
• Knowledge of CAD modelling, PLM tools. Hands on experience of UG-NX/CATIA ,Team center or equivalent
• Knowledge of FE analysis and experience in ANSYS/HYPERMESH or equivalent FE software
• Ability to do multitasking: Testing co-ordination, Benchmarking, Dealing with suppliers
• Knowledge on different types of materials, manufacturing processes used in Plastic design. Knowledge of manufacturing guidelines and methods to overcome defects in plastic parts.
• Application of GD&T, DFMEA, DFM etc

Technical/ Functional:

• Proficient in Plastic/Trim Part design of various parts such as fender, fairing assembly, seats, side panels etc.
• Virtual simulation (CAE, FEA) for part design and takeaways from it.
• Good understanding & awareness of new technologies in vehicle interior design
• Basic knowledge of vehicle layout design, ergonomics and homologation requirements
