Job summary

Axiscades Engineering Technologies seeks an experienced mechanical engineer focused on NX CAD modeling and automotive component design. You will contribute to the design and development of housings, gears, and related parts, leveraging CAE for validation and ensuring compliance with drawings and GD&T.

The role requires strong collaboration with OEM/Tier-1 partners, effective stakeholder communication, and the ability to present technical updates in team meetings.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Mechanical/Automotive/Production.
• NX modeling with 3+ years experience mandatory.
• 2+ years in OEM or Tier 1 is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with TeamCenter or any PLM tool is desirable.
• Design & development of automotive housings (castings/forgings) or gearsets.
• Strong NX CAD proficiency is required.
• Knowledge of CAE simulation/validation is a plus.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• MS Office, Agile, and collaborative work style.
• Ability to present in group meetings and maintain minutes.

Job description

Education: Minimum BE/BTech ( Mechanical/ Automotive/ Production)

Modeling Software: NX 3+ Years (Mandatory)

NX Modules: Solid Modelling, Drafting, NX CAE-Structural Automotive Experience: minimum 2+ Years in OEM or Tier 1 (not mandatory) PLM tool: Experience in TeamCenter or any PLM tool is desired Subject Knowledge:

• Design & Development of Automotive housings (Castings, forgings; aluminum alloy or cast iron) or gearsets
• High proficiency in NX CAD is mandatory
• Knowledge of CAE simulation and validation will be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of Engineering drawing
• Good knowledge of Geometric dimensioning and tolerances. Communication Skills : Fluent English (verbal and written) Supporting experience/ Tools/ Techniques
• Stakeholder Management, Aware of QMS requirements.
• Capable of understanding Lifecycle management of automotive parts (CVDS), giving interim and long-term solutions related to axle components
• Technical expertise in development and field failure management
• Well versed with MS Office (Excel, Power Point), Agile, Co-creative but self-standing
• Able to present the team in-group meetings, preparing Minutes of Meeting, Task Prioritizing, Flexible approach, straightforward communication with flexible approach. Ability to grasp changing scenarios and adjust priorities accordingly. Ability to understand dependencies. Assertive and good listener.
