Job description

This position is responsible for supervising the construction of roads and platforms for wind turbines during the erection phase of wind energy projects. The Civil Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe construction of these critical components, adhering to design specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Directly supervise the construction activities related to roads and platforms, including excavation, concrete pouring, and installation of reinforcements.
• Ensure adherence to project plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Monitor the work of subcontractors and ensure their compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of workmanship and materials used in road and platform construction.
• Identify and address any quality issues promptly.
• Perform necessary tests and inspections to verify the structural integrity of the constructed elements.
• Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and procedures at the construction site.
• Conduct daily safety briefings with the construction crew.
• Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
• Investigate and report any safety incidents.
• Ensure the availability of necessary materials and equipment for road and platform construction.
• Monitor the usage of materials and minimize wastage.
• Track the progress of road and platform construction activities and report any delays or issues to the supervisor.
• Coordinate with other site personnel, such as crane operators, electricians, and surveyors, to ensure smooth and efficient construction operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 2+ years of experience in civil construction, with a strong preference for experience in wind energy projects.
