A civil engineer in construction manages the planning, design, and physical execution of infrastructure projects to ensure they are safe, functional, and built within time and budget limits

Site Supervision & Execution

Oversee day-to-day construction operations, allot work to laborers, and ensure structures are built according to approved design specifications and drawings.

Perform surveying, plotting lines, establishing levels, and marking out positions for above- and below-ground infrastructure.

Monitor material inventory, estimate resource needs, minimize wastage, and supervise equipment deployment.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain daily progress reports (DPR), site logs, material consumption records, and assist with measurements for billing and subcontractor invoices.

Act as the communication bridge between upper management, architects, structural consultants, contractors, and on-ground laborers.

• A bachelors degree in civil engineering from an accredited university or college.
