Job summary

HNB Engineers Pvt. Ltd in Pune seeks a Civil Estimation Engineer to prepare detailed cost estimates for Turnkey/EPC/PPP projects. You will calculate quantities, develop BOQs, and review Bar Bending Schedules in collaboration with senior engineers.

You will analyze vendor quotations, negotiate costs, monitor budgets, and align estimations with project goals across civil, finishing, and MEP works. Prior EPC experience is essential.

Qualifications

• BE in Civil Engineering with 3-4 years of estimation experience for high-rise EPC projects.
• Experience in preparing detailed cost estimates, BOQs and cost-benefit analyses.
• Familiarity with ERP software and BIM tools for estimation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for Turnkey/EPC/PPP projects, including civil, structural, and finishing works.
• Calculate quantities from drawings received, estimation (Excel/Software & Manual) & provision making.
• Analyse structural drawings to extract quantities and prepare BOQs.
• Develop and review Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) in coordination with seniors and site teams.
• Evaluate vendor quotations and assist in cost comparison and negotiations.
• Liaise with procurement to collect vendor quotations for costing inputs.
• Prepare and evaluate cost comparison sheets and cost-benefit analyses.
• Coordinate with project managers and procurement to align estimates with project goals.
• Monitor project budgets and update cost forecasts based on design or scope changes.
• Conduct rate analysis for civil, finishing, and MEP works based on current market rates.
• Track and update construction cost databases with recent rates and inflation-adjusted pricing.
• Collaborate with design, execution, and finance teams to align costs with project budgets.
• Maintain a database of cost elements and historical data for future reference.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to manage potential cost variances.
