Job summary

Gensys Build Concepts in Pune seeks a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor/Cost Estimator to prepare BOQs from drawings and perform rate analyses for civil, finishing, and MEP works. You will generate tender estimates, coordinate with design and execution teams to verify scope, and manage RA bills for clients and subcontractors.

The role requires accuracy, strong Excel and AutoCAD skills, and familiarity with CPWD/MORTH/DSR practices.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Excel and AutoCAD for measurements.
• Understanding of CPWD/MORTH/DSR practices preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and reading technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed BOQs from drawings (AutoCAD/PDF).
• Perform rate analysis for civil, finishing, and MEP works.
• Prepare cost estimates for tenders and budgets.
• Coordinate with design and execution teams for scope verification.
• Prepare and verify RA bills for clients and subcontractors.
• Check quantities as per drawings and site execution.
• Maintain contract documentation and variations.
• Monitor work order logs and reconcile contract values.
• Reconcile materials and subcontractor bills; prepare monthly reports.
• Identify discrepancies in BOQ vs executed quantities.

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities/ Job description:

• Preparation of detailed BOQs from drawings (AutoCAD/PDF).
• Rate analysis for civil, finishing, and MEP works.
• Preparing cost estimates for tenders and internal budgeting.
• Coordination with design and execution teams for scope verification.
• Preparing and verifying RA bills for clients and subcontractors.
• Checking quantities as per drawings and site execution.
• Certification and documentation as per contract clauses.
• Coordination with site team for measurements and progress data.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing work orders and subcontractor agreements.
• Maintaining records for contract documents and variations.
• Monitor and update work order logs and contract value reconciliations.
• Reconciliation of materials, free issue items, and subcontractor bills.
• Preparing monthly reconciliation reports (cement, steel, RMC, etc.).
• Identifying discrepancies in BOQ vs executed quantities.

Software Skills:

• Strong proficiency in MS Excel
• Strong & Working knowledge of. AutoCAD for measurement extraction.
• Good understanding of CPWD/MORTH/DSR practices (optional but desirable).
• Familiarity with ERP software (e.g., Strategic ERP etc.) is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
