Job summary

JobItUs in Navi Mumbai seeks an experienced Civil Draftsman to prepare detailed civil and structural drawings from design inputs and specifications. The role requires 5+ years of drafting experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, BOM/BOQ familiarity, with marine/port project exposure considered a plus.

You'll contribute to material estimation, project costing, and ensure timely delivery of drawings while maintaining comprehensive revision records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D drafting software.
• Minimum 5 years of civil/structural drafting experience.
• Experience with BOM/BOQ, material estimation, and costing.
• ITI Diploma in Civil Draftsmanship preferred; marine/ports/offshore exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil and structural drawings from design inputs.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed civil and structural drawings based on design inputs and engineering specifications.
Independently develop accurate construction drawings once the structural scheme and design concept are explained.
Prepare general arrangement drawings, detailed structural drawings, reinforcement detailing, and fabrication drawings as required.
Revise and update drawings based on design modifications and review comments.
Ensure all drawings comply with applicable engineering standards, project specifications, and drafting best practices.
Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on approved drawings and project specifications.
Perform quantity take-offs, prepare material estimates, and assist in project costing and estimation.
Coordinate with structural engineers and project teams to ensure timely delivery of drawings.
Maintain proper documentation and drawing revision records.
Civil Draftsman

Required Skills :

Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory. Working knowledge of 3D drafting/modeling software. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Strong understanding of civil and structural drafting principles. Knowledge of BOM preparation, BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, and basic project costing.
Ability to interpret engineering sketches, calculations, and design concepts. High attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

ITI Certificate or Diploma in Civil Draftsmanship from a recognized institution.
Experience in drafting for marine structures, ports, jetties, offshore facilities, or similar infrastructure projects will be preferred.

Job Location:

Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra Preferred Candidate Location: Candidates residing in Navi Mumbai or nearby areas will be preferred.

Experience Required:

Minimum 5 years of experience in civil and structural drafting.
Experience in marine structures will be an added advantage.
