Job summary

Vedam Design is seeking a Draftsman for Basic Structure with 1–3 years of experience in shipyard or marine offshore environments. You will prepare drawings using CAD tools and contribute to 2D and 3D detailing under guidance of senior draftsmen.

Responsibilities include translating design concepts into precise drafting documents, reviewing drawings for accuracy, following established drafting standards, and collaborating with engineers to incorporate changes.

Qualifications

• ITI or Mechanical Draftsman with 1–3 years of shipyard/marine/offshore experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D and Rhino 3D is preferred.
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor is a plus.

Job Description

• Preparation of drawings using CAD tools
• Assist in the creation of detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings for marine and offshore structural projects under the guidance of senior draftsmen.
• Collaborate with team members to translate design concepts into accurate drafting documents.
• Review and cross-check drafted documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Follow established drafting standards and contribute to maintaining high-quality standards in all deliverables.
• Work closely with senior draftsmen, engineers, and other team members to incorporate design changes and updates into drawings.
• Assist in addressing drafting-related queries and adjustments.
• Learn and utilize industry-standard drafting software, such as AutoCAD (2D/3D), RHINO 3D, to create and modify drawings.

Qualification:

ITI or Mechanical Draftsman with 1 to 3years of experience in experience in shipyard or design office of marine/offshore.

Desired profile of the candidate :

• Having good knowledge in AutoCAD and 3D modeling tool will be preferred.
• Autodesk Inventor experience
• Candidates having experience in shipyard or design office of marine/offshore
