Job summary

DC Consultants in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra is seeking a Civil Draftsman with a minimum of 5 years of experience in civil and structural drafting. You will prepare detailed drawings, develop construction layouts, and ensure drawings meet engineering standards and project specs.

You will work on BOM/BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, and collaborate with structural engineers to guarantee timely delivery. Knowledge of marine structures is a plus, and ITI/Diploma in Civil Draftsmanship is

Qualifications

• ITI Certificate or Diploma in Civil Draftsmanship as required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D drafting software mandatory.
• Strong understanding of civil/structural drafting principles and BOM/BOQ knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil and structural drawings from design inputs and specs.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed civil and structural drawings based on design inputs and engineering specifications.
• Independently develop accurate construction drawings once the structural scheme and design concept are explained.
• Prepare general arrangement drawings, detailed structural drawings, reinforcement detailing, and fabrication drawings as required.
• Revise and update drawings based on design modifications and review comments.
• Ensure all drawings comply with applicable engineering standards, project specifications, and drafting best practices.
• Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on approved drawings and project specifications.
• Perform quantity take-offs, prepare material estimates, and assist in project costing and estimation.
• Coordinate with structural engineers and project teams to ensure timely delivery of drawings.
• Maintain proper documentation and drawing revision records.

Civil Draftsman

Required Skills :

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory. Working knowledge of 3D drafting/modeling software. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Strong understanding of civil and structural drafting principles. Knowledge of BOM preparation, BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, and basic project costing.
• Ability to interpret engineering sketches, calculations, and design concepts. High attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• ITI Certificate or Diploma in Civil Draftsmanship from a recognized institution.
• Experience in drafting for marine structures, ports, jetties, offshore facilities, or similar infrastructure projects will be preferred.

Experience Required:
