Job summary

Pronto in Kolkata is seeking a City Manager to own the city’s business performance, end-to-end operations, supply growth, customer experience, and team leadership, driving sustainable and profitable growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, build scalable SOPs, and lead hubs and field teams while monitoring dashboards and reviews to identify opportunities and accelerate city-level impact.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in operations or P&L management, strong stakeholder

• 5–10 years of experience in Operations, City Operations, Business Ops or P&L management.
• Demonstrated experience leading large field operations and cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of hyperlocal operations and customer service.

About the Role

At Pronto, we're building India's most trusted platform for on-demand home services. As we continue to scale rapidly, we're looking for a highly driven City Manager to lead our Kolkata business. This role will own the city's business performance, operational excellence, supply growth, customer experience, and team leadership while ensuring sustainable and profitable growth.

The City Manager will be responsible for driving business outcomes across the city by collaborating with cross-functional teams and building a high-performing operations organization.

What You'll Drive

• Own the end-to-end business performance and P&L for Bangalore.
• Lead city-wide Operations, and Hub Management to deliver business objectives.
• Drive key business metrics including revenue, bookings, supply acquisition, partner productivity, utilization, service quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
• Ensure operational excellence through strong execution, governance, and process adherence.
• Lead workforce planning, manpower optimization, and capacity management across hubs.
• Build and implement scalable SOPs, operational controls, and performance management frameworks.
• Drive partner acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention, and productivity initiatives.
• Monitor city performance through dashboards, analytics, and regular business reviews to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Product, Growth, Marketing, HR, Finance, and Customer Experience teams to execute city-level initiatives.
• Resolve operational challenges with a data-driven and customer-first approach.
• Lead, coach, and develop City Managers, Hub Managers, and field teams while fostering a high-performance culture.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and operational standards.
  

What We're Looking For

• 5-10 years of experience in Operations, City Operations, Business Operations, Supply Operations, General Management, or P&L management.
• Demonstrated experience leading large field operations and managing cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of hyperlocal operations, workforce management, partner ecosystems, and customer service operations.
• Proven ability to drive business growth through operational excellence and data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with strong execution capabilities.
• Experience in Hyperlocal Services, Consumer Internet, Marketplace, Logistics, Quick Commerce, Mobility, or other high-growth businesses will be preferred.
