Job summary

Zensar Technologies is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage and optimize our critical data stores in Bengaluru. You will handle 5 to 8 years of hands-on DBA work with Couchbase, PostgreSQL, and Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and robust performance.

You will lead tuning initiatives, implement indexing and SQL development efforts, and oversee monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of hands‑on experience in Database Administration.
• Strong experience with Couchbase, PostgreSQL, and/or Oracle databases.
• Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and SQL development.
• Experience with database monitoring, backup, recovery, and maintenance activities.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain large-scale databases with strong availability requirements.
• Implement performance tuning, indexing strategies, and SQL optimization.
• Monitor databases, schedule and perform backups, restores, and recovery drills.
• Plan capacity, monitor growth, and manage maintenance plans and patching.
