Job summary

Pyvots is seeking a hands-on Chief Technology Officer to lead the evolution of its SaaS platform from 0 to 1. You will architect and build the core system end-to-end, integrating data intelligence and AI-powered insights for the restaurant payout ecosystem.

Lead a cross-functional team, define the tech roadmap with founders, and scale infrastructure for India and global markets. Strong product mindset and startup experience are essential, with a focus on security and scalable architecture.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop the full stack of Pyvots SaaS platform from backend to frontend and mobile integrations.
• Build secure pipelines to parse payout statements from Gmail/Outlook APIs.
• Design data summarisation to compute earnings, commissions, and discrepancies.
• Lead AI/ML model integration for anomaly detection and savings suggestions.
• Oversee DevOps, infra, and scalability from MVP to enterprise-grade product.
• Hire, mentor, and manage engineers, data scientists, and product designers.
• Define agile processes, sprint planning, and delivery standards.
• Collaborate with product/business teams to translate insights into solutions.
• Design frameworks to train models that detect errors and opportunity gaps.
• Build LLM-based summarisation and AI chat assistants for restaurant owners.
• Work with open-source or proprietary AI tools to build recommendations.
• Ensure data security, encryption, and privacy compliance.
• Manage deployment, monitoring, and version control.

Job description

Role Overview: We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who is hands‑on, product‑driven, and capable of leading Pyvots SaaS evolution from 0-1. The CTO will architect, build, and scale the platform end‑to‑end from email parsing and financial data intelligence to beautiful dashboards and actionable AI recommendations. You will work directly with the founders to define the tech roadmap, build the core engineering team, and shape a scalable architecture that can evolve into a full‑stack Restaurant Payout Intelligence system for India and global markets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Development & Architecture:

• Architect and develop the full stack of Pyvots SaaS platform from backend systems, databases, and APIs to frontend dashboards and mobile integrations.
• Build secure pipelines to fetch, parse, and process Zomato & Swiggy payout statements from Gmail or Outlook APIs.
• Design and implement data summarisation algorithms to calculate true earnings, commissions, and discrepancies.
• Lead integration of AI/ML models for pattern recognition, anomaly detection, and savings suggestions.
• Oversee DevOps, infrastructure, and scalability planning from MVP to enterprise‑grade product.

2. Leadership & Team Building:

• Hire, mentor, and manage a cross‑functional team of engineers, data scientists, and product designers.
• Define agile processes, sprint planning, and delivery standards for the engineering function.
• Collaborate closely with product and business teams to translate user insights into technical solutions.

3. AI & Data Intelligence:

• Design frameworks to train models that detect errors, hidden commissions, and opportunity gaps in payout data.
• Build LLM‑based summarisation for payout statements and AI chat assistants for restaurant owners.
• Work with open‑source or proprietary AI tools to build recommendation engines for savings and growth actions.

4. Security & Compliance:

• Ensure robust data security, encryption, and privacy protocols.
• Implement best practices for API security, access management, and compliance (GDPR‑like standards).
• Manage deployment, monitoring, and version control with high reliability.

Technical Skillset:

• Languages & Frameworks: Node.js, Python (FastAPI/Django), React/Next.js, TypeScript
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
• Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
• Email Parsing & Automation: Gmail API, IMAP, OAuth2, Regex/AI‑based document parsing
• AI/ML Exposure: NLP, LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic), TensorFlow/PyTorch (basic working knowledge)
• Analytics Stack: Apache Superset / Metabase / PowerBI, or custom dashboarding
• Version Control: Git, GitHub Actions

Preferred Background:

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with 3+ years in a leadership or architectural role.
• Proven experience in building SaaS or data intelligence platforms from scratch.
• Exposure to fintech, data automation, or email‑based parsing systems is a major plus.
• Strong product mindset able to balance speed with scalability and user empathy.
• Startup experience preferred; comfort in fast‑paced, 0-1 environments.
