Job summary

Zycus is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to unify global Product, Engineering and Customer functions and drive an AI-native transformation. This role reports to the CEO and will own strategy, execution and measurable outcomes across product, technology and customer success.

The COO will lead the orchestration of AI-native platforms, agentic AI capabilities, and enterprise workflows, ensuring rapid adoption, strong governance and tangible business value across ARR, GRR, NRR and renewals.

Job Description:

Zycus is looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead its global Product, Engineering and Customer organizations.

Reporting to the CEO, the COO will own the complete lifecycle from product strategy and engineering execution through implementation, adoption, value realization and retention.

A major part of the mandate will be to accelerate Zycus' evolution toward an AI-native and Agentic AI-driven Source-to-Pay platform, where intelligent agents can understand intent, orchestrate workflows and deliver measurable business outcomes.

This role is ideal for a senior SaaS or technology leader who can bring together Product, Technology, Professional Services and Customer Success into one high-performing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Product Management

• Own Zycus' global product strategy and roadmap.
• Drive the transition toward an AI-native and Agentic AI-led platform.
• Identify where AI agents can fundamentally redesign enterprise workflows.
• Improve product velocity, prioritization, usability and customer outcomes.
• Build a strong product organization focused on customer needs and measurable business value.

Engineering & Technology

• Lead the global Engineering, Technology and AI organizations.
• Drive excellence in architecture, scalability, reliability, security and engineering velocity.
• Accelerate capabilities around Agentic AI, AI agents, orchestration, tool use, enterprise APIs, context, memory, evaluation and governance.
• Move AI rapidly from experimentation into reliable, scalable enterprise products.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted software engineering to improve productivity and speed.

The candidate need not be hands‑on technically, but must be able to challenge senior Engineering, Architecture and AI leaders.

Customer Success & Customer Operations

Lead the global customer organization across:

• Customer Success
• Professional Services / Implementation
• Technical Support
• Customer Account Management
• Adoption, Renewals and Retention

The COO will be responsible for implementation success, product adoption and measurable customer value.

A key mandate will be helping customers move from AI experimentation toward production adoption of Agentic AI, with clear governance, human‑in‑the‑loop models and measurable outcomes.

The role will drive metrics such as time‑to‑value, adoption, GRR, NRR, renewals and customer satisfaction.

Product–Engineering–Customer Integration

The COO will create a tighter operating loop between Customers, Product, Engineering and AI.

The goal is simple:

Customer Need → Product / AI Insight → Build → Deploy → Learn → Improve

The COO will ensure AI innovation translates into customer adoption and business outcomes, while customer insights rapidly influence product and engineering priorities.

Company Leadership

As one of Zycus' senior‑most executives, the COO will:

• Partner closely with the CEO on strategy and execution.
• Help shape Zycus' long‑term Agentic AI strategy.
• Drive accountability across global teams.
• Build and mentor strong senior leadership across Product, Engineering, AI and Customer.
• Participate in major strategic and investment decisions.

Sales and Marketing will remain outside this role

though the COO will work closely with GTM leadership on product differentiation, customer requirements and Agentic AI positioning.

• Leadership experience across at least two of Product, Engineering and Customer, with meaningful exposure to the third.
• Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS and SaaS metrics such as ARR, GRR, NRR, adoption and retention.
• Strong understanding of how Generative AI and Agentic AI are reshaping enterprise software.
• Strong customer and commercial orientation.
• Demonstrated ability to improve execution, speed and accountability.

We are particularly interested in people who have built something meaningful, not simply accumulated titles or years of experience.
