Director of Engineering

Zycus is seeking a hands‑on and visionary Director of Engineering to lead high‑performing teams in building next‑generation SaaS products powered by AI and GenAI. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical acumen with strong leadership skills to architect, design, and deliver innovative enterprise‑grade solutions at scale.

You will drive product excellence through modern engineering practices, team mentorship, and adoption of emerging technologies — including Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Intelligent Automation — to help Zycus stay at the forefront of product innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands‑on technical leadership across architecture, design, and implementation of complex enterprise applications.
• Build and scale high‑performing engineering teams, driving a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
• Partner with Product Management and AI research teams to integrate GenAI capabilities into Zycus’s product ecosystem.
• Ensure technical excellence, scalability, and performance through active participation in design and code reviews.
• Champion modern software development practices including CI/CD, DevOps, microservices, and cloud‑native architecture.
• Take complete ownership of end‑to‑end design, development, and delivery of quality enterprise applications.

Technical Skills:

• Programming: Java, J2EE, and related modern frameworks.
• Architecture: Strong understanding of scalable, distributed, and event‑driven systems.
• Frontend Technologies: Angular, React.js, Node.js (Full Stack experience preferred).
• Databases: Experience with both SQL and NoSQL systems like MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4j, DynamoDB.
• Messaging & Search: Kafka, Redis, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Solr, ElasticSearch, Kibana, ELK Stack, Logstash.
• Cloud & SaaS: Proven experience with SaaS/cloud‑based platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• AI & GenAI: Exposure to large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, and AI integration within enterprise workflows.
• Methodology: Expertise in Agile and DevOps‑based development environments.
