ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
A legacy jewellery brand One of the Central India's most loved and trusted name in the category is entering its most ambitious growth phase yet.
THE ROLE
This is a builder's mandate, not a maintainer's role.
You will spend the first 68 months hands-on doing the groundwork yourself before scaling a team as you help transition a founder-led culture into a professionally managed one, while preserving the trust and values built over eight decades.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and stand up the enterprise-wide HR function structure, policies, systems from a largely founder-driven starting point
- Build the organization design and workforce plan to support massive scaling and ~4x revenue growth over 3 years
- Lead talent acquisition strategy for rapid, pan-India store and corporate hiring
- Establish performance management, compensation & benefits frameworks, and HR governance suited to a listed company
- Drive culture transition professionalizing a family-run business without eroding its founder-led values and trust equity
- Build leadership bench strength and succession planning across corporate and retail functions
- Partner closely with founders and the board during a phase where decision-making authority transfers gradually
- Set up HRIS/HR tech infrastructure to support a growing, multi-location workforce
- Ensure compliance and HR governance aligned to listed-company and retail-sector standards
- Champion employer branding as the company scales its national footprint
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5+ years in a CHRO/CPO or equivalent senior HR leadership role
- Proven experience building HR functions from scratch not just running an established one
- Experience in retail, jewellery, luxury, or consumer-facing multi-location businesses strongly preferred
- Track record of supporting rapid, multi-location scale-up (store network or branch expansion)
- Experience navigating a family-run-to-professional transition, or working closely with founders/promoters
- Exposure to listed-company HR governance and compliance
- Graduate degree required; Master's/MBA in HR or related field preferred
- Hands-on, execution-first mindset with the patience to operate in a founder-led environment during the transition
