Responsibilities

Job description

CHRO will lead the organization's people strategy, organization effectiveness and HR governance in alignment with business growth and regulatory requirements. The role will partner with the CEO, MD and leadership team to build a scalable organization, strengthen leadership pipelines, optimize people costs and create a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the HR strategy and people agenda aligned with business objectives, growth plans and AUM expansion.
  • Drive organization design, workforce planning and manpower productivity, ensuring the organization scales efficiently with business growth.
  • Partner with the CEO, MD and senior leadership on critical people, organization and leadership decisions.
  • Lead talent acquisition and quality of hire, including senior leadership, KMP and critical roles.
  • Build robust succession planning and leadership pipelines for critical positions and ensure business continuity.
  • Drive performance management, KRA/KPI frameworks, career development and internal mobility.
  • Develop and manage compensation, variable pay, incentives, ESOPs and retention programs, ensuring market competitiveness and pay equity.
  • Own the Employee Value Proposition (EVP), employer branding, employee engagement and retention strategy.
  • Drive learning, leadership development and capability building, with measurable training effectiveness and ROI.
  • Build a strong culture of ethics, accountability, customer focus and compliance across the organization.
  • Ensure HR governance and compliance with applicable RBI/NBFC requirements, labour laws, POSH, Code of Conduct, policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance and Internal Audit on people-related governance and risk matters.
  • Lead ESG and people sustainability initiatives, including diversity, inclusion, wellbeing and responsible workplace practices.
  • Own key HR metrics and people analytics, including productivity, revenue/AUM per employee, attrition, regrettable attrition, time-to-productivity, hiring effectiveness, training ROI and employee cost.
  • Take ownership of the people cost line, including manpower budgeting, cost per employee, cost of attrition and workforce cost optimization.
  • Establish strong HR MIS and dashboards and provide board/management-level people insights.
  • Lead change management, organization transformation and culture-building initiatives.

Candidate Profile
  • MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent qualification.
  • 20 - 25 + years of progressive HR experience, preferably in NBFC, Banking, Financial Services, Fintech or another regulated organization.
  • Proven experience in strategic HR leadership, organization design, workforce planning and talent management.
  • Strong experience in succession planning, leadership development, compensation, ESOPs and retention programs.
  • Experience in building EVP, employer brand, engagement and culture.
  • Strong understanding of RBI/NBFC governance, HR compliance, people risk and ESG.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with CEO/MD, CXO teams and Board/Board Committees.
  • Strong commercial orientation with the ability to link HR decisions to P&L, productivity and business outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • High integrity, strategic thinking and strong execution orientation.
