ScopeHR Services in Chennai is seeking a senior finance leader to drive financial strategy, budgeting, and long-term planning. You will provide strategic guidance to the MD/CEO and Board, evaluate investment opportunities, and oversee project finance, cash flow, and treasury management.

Responsibilities include cost control, MIS reporting, taxation/compliance, audits, and leading Finance teams to enable business growth. A hands-on, results-driven leader is required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
• Provide strategic financial advice to the MD, CEO and Board.
• Evaluate new projects, investments, land acquisitions and expansion opportunities.

2. Real Estate Project Finance

• Evaluate financial feasibility of residential, commercial and plotted development projects.
• Prepare project-wise financial models covering cost, revenue, cash flow, ROI, IRR and profitability.
• Monitor project budgets, actual costs and cost overruns.
• Analyse land acquisition, construction and development costs.

3. Fundraising & Banking

• Lead project funding and working-capital requirements.
• Manage relationships with banks, NBFCs, financial institutions and investors.
• Arrange construction finance, term loans and other funding facilities.
• Negotiate interest rates, repayment terms and financial covenants.
• Manage debt, equity and structured funding requirements.

4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Prepare company-wise and project-wise cash-flow forecasts.
• Monitor customer collections, vendor payments and project expenditure.
• Ensure adequate liquidity for land payments, construction and statutory obligations.
• Improve working capital and cash conversion.

5. Project Cost Control & Profitability

• Establish strong project costing and financial controls.
• Monitor actual vs. budgeted project costs.
• Track project-wise P&L, margins, ROI and cost-to-complete.
• Identify cost leakages and cost-saving opportunities.

6. MIS & Financial Reporting

• Oversee monthly MIS, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements.
• Prepare project-wise profitability and management dashboards.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

7. Taxation, Compliance & Audit

• Oversee GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act and RERA compliance.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors and tax consultants.
• Strengthen internal controls, governance and risk-management systems.

8. Commercial & Strategic Support

• Support land acquisition and project investment decisions.
• Evaluate JVs, JDAs, acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
• Work closely with Projects, Sales, Procurement, Legal and Operations teams.
• Provide financial inputs for pricing, project launches and business expansion.

9. Team Leadership

• Lead Finance & Accounts, Treasury, Taxation, MIS and Commercial teams.
• Establish KRAs/KPIs and improve finance processes.
• Build a strong, accountable and performance-driven finance function.
