Job summary

Geci is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to guide financial strategy, planning, risk management, and compliance. The role partners with senior leadership to drive growth and optimize performance across the organization.

You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and capital management while ensuring governance and regulatory compliance. The position requires strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration to support strategic investments.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CFA, MBA Finance, or equivalent qualification.
• 07–10+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of financial planning, accounting, taxation, compliance, and corporate finance.
• Experience in strategic planning and business partnering.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and financial management software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board on financial performance and growth opportunities.
• Analyze market trends and identify financial risks and opportunities.

• Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Manage working capital, investments, and banking relationships.

• Develop internal financial controls and risk management frameworks.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain corporate governance standards and financial transparency.
• Partner with department heads to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and expansion plans.
• Drive automation and process improvements within the finance function.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team.
