Job summary

Vijaya Management in Pune, India is seeking an experienced Operations Leader to oversee end-to-end industrial construction projects. You will ensure timely delivery, quality adherence, and close coordination across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include developing SOPs, planning and executing projects, leading PMs and site teams, conducting regular performance reviews, and implementing risk mitigation to minimize delays and cost overruns.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the execution of all ongoing industrial construction projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and as per quality standards.
• Monitor project performance against approved schedules and milestones.
• Identify execution bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for project execution.
• Conduct weekly and monthly operational review meetings with project teams.
• Ensure effective coordination between all departments involved in project execution.
• Develop comprehensive project execution strategies.
• Review and approve project schedules prepared by Project Managers.
• Monitor critical activities and project milestones.
• Ensure availability of manpower, machinery, materials, and subcontractors as per project schedules.
• Prepare recovery plans for delayed projects.
• Optimize construction methodologies to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Oversee multiple project sites simultaneously.
• Conduct regular site visits and operational audits.
• Standardize execution practices across all project locations.
• Ensure effective communication between site teams and the head office.
• Resolve cross-functional issues affecting project delivery.
• Lead and mentor Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Site Engineers, QA/QC, Safety teams, and site administration staff.
• Define clear performance objectives and responsibilities.
• Conduct periodic performance reviews.
• Develop leadership capabilities within the operations team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Identify operational and project risks at an early stage.
• Develop mitigation and contingency plans to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
