Hilton Gurugram invites an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations, maintenance, renovation and expansion activities across the property.

You will define guidelines, implement preventive maintenance, explore new technologies, ensure safety for guests and staff, manage budgeting, energy conservation, compliance with statutory requirements, and collaborate with accounts for cost controls.

• Develops new concepts to achieve organizational objectives in engineering operation, maintenance, renovation & expansion activities.
• Defines guidelines and standards for operation, maintenance, renovation, expansion to achieve quality standards in order to maintain an edge over other properties.
• Identifies & recommends latest technologies & products.
• Ensures Guest satisfaction and organizational profitability through effective utilization of all resources.
• Lead role in implementation of PM programs, energy conservation programs, Healthsafety & environmental issues.
• Effectively implement systems & procedures that ensure safety of visitors, employees, plant, machinery and property.
• Ensures reliable, quality, efficient and cost effective engineering services to all the customers including internal & external.
• Liaise with government agencies to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Forecasting & Control on spares, Manpower & Material Planning, Co-ordination with accounts for cam calculation and billing to the licensees.
• Energy Conservation & Engineering Budget.
• Optimizes savings in energy expenses by implementing energy conservation programs.
• Monitors HLP consumption on a daily basis.
• Ensures PM schedules implementations.
• Monitors R&M expenses on a regular basis.
• Ensures that area of operation meets high class service standards to the Guests and other department.
• Establishes and ensures adherence to key systems and procedures in engineering area.
• Recommends changes in system and procedures to increase efficiency and improve service.
• Responsible for implementations of systems and procedures which ensures safety for Guests, employees, plant, machinery and property.
• Responsible for maintaining records & documents as per organizational requirements.
• To create a work environment that is high in employee morale and provides constant learning & development.
• Performance appraisal, training & development of engineering staff.
• Encourages development of multi-functionality among the subordinates.
• Uses appraisal system to review the performance of direct subordinates and determine their development needs.
• Ensures department employees are fully trained through constant trainings.
• Ensures attendance on behavioral and vocational trainings in own & related areas to enhance skills & encourage multi-functionality.
• Ensures department employees are fully trained on all the systems & procedures to ensure safety requirements.
• Counsels subordinates in personal & work related matters.
• Ensures career development & succession planning for subordinates.
• Recommends hiring, promotion, increments, disciplinary action, performer-related salary increments for all subordinates.
• Review the performance of direct subordinates & determine their development needs.
• Motivates & encourages team building in engineering department.
