Ekta Farm Stay, Pollachi is looking for an experienced, responsible, and skilled Cook / Chef to independently manage the daily preparation of meals for approximately 15 members.
The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing fresh, hygienic, nutritious, and tasty meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, managing basic grocery requirements, minimizing food wastage, and ensuring that meals are prepared and served on time.
This is a residential / live-in position. Food and accommodation will be provided. Family accommodation may also be considered, subject to availability and prior discussion.
- Prepare daily breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner as required.
- Prepare meals for approximately 15 members on a regular basis.
- Prepare a variety of South Indian and Indian cuisine.
- Prepare both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, as required.
- Maintain consistent taste, quality, quantity, and presentation of food.
- Plan daily and weekly menus based on requirements.
- Ensure timely preparation and serving of all meals.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
- Keep the kitchen, cooking area, utensils, vessels, and equipment clean and organized.
- Properly store vegetables, groceries, provisions, and prepared food.
- Monitor kitchen stock and inform the concerned person when groceries or supplies are required.
- Assist with grocery planning and quantity estimation.
- Minimize food wastage and use ingredients efficiently.
- Follow safe and hygienic food preparation practices.
- Prepare food for guests or visitors when required.
- Handle kitchen equipment and cooking utensils carefully.
- Maintain discipline, cleanliness, and a professional attitude within the residential premises.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant cooking experience preferred.
- Experience preparing food for 15 or more people is preferred.
- Previous experience in a farm stay, resort, guest house, hostel, residential facility, or similar setup will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of South Indian cuisine is preferred.
