Job summary

Tata Technologies is seeking a Design Competency Engineer to support control system parts development. The role emphasizes Creo CAD packaging, GD&T, drawing release in PLM, and collaboration with protoshop and plant teams to resolve issues.

The candidate will participate in design rule development, weight and cost reduction ideas, and interactions with suppliers to drive robust part development and benchmarking.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of control system parts such as assembly clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder, brake pedal assembly, clutch pedal assembly, parking brake lever, parking and clutch cables, clutch/brake pipe.
• Expertise in Creo required to do CAD packaging of control system parts.
• Proficient in drawing preparation and its release in PLM.
• Having worked on clutch / brake pipe & parking cable layouts.
• Able to do benchmarking of control system parts.
• Ensure design rules/ design guidelines.
• Need to participate in various weight and cost reduction ideas.
• Good knowledge of GD&T required.
• Resolve CAD packing & in plant issues.

Responsibilities

• Ready to interact with various agencies like ODT, IDT, CAE, DMU and plant teams to understand the issues and resolve.
• Interact with protoshop, planning, stores, SBP for part development activity.
• Correlate field failures to design shortfall and make design rules & guidelines.
• Interact with suppliers for part development.

Design Competency Requirement

• 1.Basic Knowledge of control system parts such as assembly clutch master cylinder(CMC), Clutch slave cylinder, brake pedal assembly , clutch pedal assembly , parking brake lever , parking and clutch cables , clutch/brake pipe.
• 2. Expertise in Creo required to do CAD packaging of control system parts.

• 4. Having worked on clutch / brake pipe & parking cable layouts.
• 5. Able to do benchmarking of control cystem parts.
• 6. Ensure design rules/ design guidelines.
• 7. Need to participate invarious weight and cost reduction ideas
• 8. Good knowledge of GD and T required
• 9. ResolveCAD packing & in plant issues.

Software Competency

• 1. Good knowledge in Creo and PLM System.
• 2. Should have basic exposure to Creo Analysis.
• 3. Basic knowladge of TCUA

TCUA Development Competency
